I still have piles of journals to go through so I'll be adding to this... but until then I thought I'd share what I have posted on my mirror at home. I had asked God who He created me to be and this is what I heard. Some of you will relate and your heart will say "That's me too!" To others it may feel like you were created very differently. That is awesome! I love that He has a different path for each of us and He made us all so unique. I would simply encourage you to go to Him and ask who He created you to be... You will know it's His voice when something wells up and says, "There is nothing else I would rather be!"
His voice always leaves us feeling hopeful and free. He is amazing and so are you!
So here's what I got:
Who did you create me to be? What is my identity?
I was created for a simple walk with You, heart to heart, hand in hand.
I am your heartsong and you are mine.
I was created to walk in peace and gentleness and sweetness.
You created me to receive all that You want to pour into me - all Your love, all Your goodness, all Your blessing. You desire to fill my land with love. The overflow will be ministry.
I was created to carry Your Presence, Your heart, Your peace, Your sweetness, and Your joy.
My heart was created to flow with love. I was created to know love and to love.
You created me to have a quiet strength and confidence.
You created me to simply be with You in this moment.
I was created to know what it is to rest and surrender, to be abandoned and free; child-like, transparent, carefree, light-hearted... (this is one of my favorites! :)
You created me to see beauty.
Your heart is my destiny.
I will be one who is found leaning on my beloved...
