These images are the result of a season of taking walks with God. After my 18 year inner healing journey, God asked me if I would set aside a season to just go away with Him. Each week we would go somewhere beautiful. We started with 8 days alone in Ireland. Wow! After that we went for walks on the beach, in Yosemite, at the zoo, and along rolling hills. These were times where I would just take His hand. We would share our heart or we would just sit quietly and simply enjoy being together. I found He really likes looking at things together, whether it be a sunset, a hummingbird or an amazing tree. I'd bring my camera along and try to capture some of these moments of beauty spent with Him. I really like pictures that feel like doorways, pathways or entryways into God's Heart or into a place that He is taking me. They are an invitation. I think a lot of these pictures have the feeling of being called away to spend time alone with Him. I have found this to be my greatest joy, and it's His too!
I have learned that He is a safe place to be the real me. He's fun and light-hearted. His eyes are so filled with joy. He enjoys me and I have found there is no one more enjoyable to spend time with. With Him there is a feeling of peace and freedom! There is no one like Him!
It is my prayer that these pictures will draw you nearer to Him. That you will discover for yourself just how safe, beautiful, and enjoyable He truly is! Hear the cry of His heart...He longs to simply be near you. He is lovesick...
